Surly. It comes across as rude. Smirking at least can be interpreted as humor. Surly has no excuse.

They are on differant levels of anooying.
I think the smirker would get on my nerves more.
It shows signs of ditzyness, and I don't get along with ignorance.
but if they were quiet. I could deal.
