Um... Yes to both. You see, making love, or rather, having sex, because you can make love just fine without swapping body fluids (or needing to protect against such), is a sacred expression of the creative force, a gift to us for the Divine. The Gods didn't have to give the mortal races (by races, I refer to all living things, not ethnic groups, which aren't really races anyway) the power to create, but they did and sexual intercourse is an extremely powerful representation of that gift and therefore a sacred experience, and a Pagan ritual. A sacriment actually.

With me it's always a sacred experience, every women's body is a hidden mystery to be explored, slowly and completely. But if I get out the stone altar, the hemp rope and the anointing oils, then it will turn into a hot and heavy pagan ritual real quick.

I say neither. It is an urge created by millions of years of endocrine evolution. I don't know why people think sex is bad, or sex is religion, or sex is something to be shared between a man and a woman only, and only after marriage. Sex is pleasure, why regulate it?
