Since programs specify which exam they want you to take, the question is meaningless.

Law school wants you to take the LSAT, Business schools want you to take the GMAT, Medical schools want you to take the MCAT and everyone else wants you to take the GRE.

The only program that I know of that gives you a choice is the PhD in Business -- which will accept either the GMAT or the GRE. Since you are not good in mathematics, I would not suggest applying to that program.

However -- when I applied to B-Schools for a PhD, I decided to take the GRE rather than the GMAT. My reason was that the GMATs do not break out the score by area, and the GREs do. I knew I would do well in the verbal area -- but great in the math area. I wanted the latter fact highlighted.

I actually took both tests -- and found them to be similar in difficulty.

I think the GRE is the easiest.
