No. Bad is a perspective, and often changes over time. What once were bad memories can serve to instruct and guide later. When we gain a new perspective, bad can also be good. Everyone can point to an example of a memory of something that was horrible and embarassing when it happened, but given time, that memory brings laughter. Rather than erase bad memories, I choose to replace the perspective with a new one. In this way, I can continually look back into my own experiences for instruction, reflection, and comfort.

I don’t think that anyone can permanently erase powerful bad memories. But everyone has the potential to ignore them and move on. In other words one will have traces of the memory but it will not affect the lifestyle of a person. Many well-known philosopher’s believed that it is a bad thing to erase your memory.
People who do this can be the individuals "run-away" from problems.

No, every memory is just a small part of the person that I am today. If I erased some of my memories I would be erasing part of who I am.

At one point in my life all I wanted to do was erase bad memories and my horrible past. But it took those bad memories to make me what I am today........a strong willed woman. I also learned some life lessons from those bad memories. I knew I didnt want my life to be like that!

No because I use those "bad memories" as a guide to being successful in my life. Those memories motivate me to achieve greatness, so no I wouldn't erase my bad memories. In life you have to take the good with the bad.

Well, maybe erase the feeling behind the memories, as it's important to remember the bad so that you don't repeat it...

No, our experiences make us who we are. We learn from mistakes and become better people. If you erase your memories, you are becoming less of a person and destroying any chance at becoming a better/more complete person in the future.

Some maybe. I like to think that negatives can be turned into positives. Life experiences have a huge impact on who we are today. Gotta make the best of things, life is too short.
