Better try June as you will have a better chance for good weather. July is normally hot but too full of tourists. June is better or August after the tourists are gone.
To know now what the weather will be in May is impossible. The Netherlands is a beautiful country but you never know in advance anything about the weather. With luck will start being nice in May. But, in any case, you will be on time to go to the Keukenhof which is open only in Spring, these famous Gardens near Lisse, come to life with songbirds and 7000000 flowers.

Hi,
The temperatures here are usually pleasantly soft in May. But it could be rainy, so bring decent shoes and an umbrella - just in case.
It's a good time to visit Amsterdam, not too crowded with tourists yet (unless you want to see the tulip-fields, because that where the tourists will be).

Will be a bit warmer. No heavy jackets are needed. It rains a lot here and the Dutch always carry a small umbrella....just i n case of it going from sunny to rain. Dress Light, but bring a jacket(not heavy) and perhaps a light sweater you can throw on just in case it gets colder. have fun in Amsterdam.

The weather will be awesome.
May is the very best month in Holland. They have the tulip festival during May.
The sun doesn't set until 23.00 at that time of year.
You picked a great time.

really hard to tell so far in advance and since weather is changing everywhere in the world. it's been nice the past two years, not too hot and not too cold, deff no beach weather tough. just check the weather reports a week or so in advance if you come, but if you want to plan your trip in a nice time weather wise plan it in july, it's been really nice and warm past couple of years in july.
good luck

It's spring time over there then so the norm is temperatures between 60-70 farenheit.
Should be quite pleasant - not cold and not too hot either.
