Typically, if someone believes in Satan, they also believe in God, because how could evil exist without having good to be in opposition to? But even if you believe in God's existence, you can still choose to follow Satan.
However, if someone follows Satan and believes in God, then they must not believe the Bible is true, as the New Testament makes it very clear that God has power over Satan (e.g., Jesus driving out demons). Why would you want to align yourself with what is obviously a lesser power, which is unable to help your life in any positive way and is not worthy of worship?

Well, people who believe in God believe in Satan, so why not the other way around. There has to be a good and an evil. Otherwise, what's the point? In order to be powerful (people, thoughts, ideologies, etc.), something must have a counterpoint that keeps people in line. The US had the USSR during the Cold War, God has Satan, the terrorists have democracy and a free market economy (basically the US), Republicans have Democrats, etc., etc., etc.

Well they believe in both, but just choose to follow Satan. Usually if you believe in one, you must believe in the other. You can believe, but choose not to follow. So they can believe that God is real, but follow Satan.
See I believe in both, and I follow God. I know there is a God and a Devil.
Jesus loves you!

If someone believes in Satan, they have to believe in God too. Otherwise they wouldn't feel they were doing anything wrong, which is what they want to do, if they are a Satanist. A Satanist seeks to undermine God.
Some people get their jollies from feeling "evil" and "satanic".
As for me, I am a confused agnostic. My brain tells me no, but I intend to burn no boats as heaven sounds better than burning in the pit of hell.
