Did somebody pay for the food? If yes, then you can ask to take home any uneaten food.
Now the bigger question here is, is it polite? Did you order a big meal knowing you couldn't finish it so you'd have lunch tomorrow?
Is the food going to go bad in the back seat while you're busy in the font seat?
Bottom line for me, if you had to ask, you know it is probably not the best idea.

yeh..why not ??? what does being on a first date have to do with wanting leftovers ???? the person you are with is no better than you anyways ..if he / she has has an opinion about who u are as a person cause u brought home some leftovers then he/she has a problem
