I like the The Trade. I think it will help the Pacers in the long run. Jackson was causing to much commotion and harrington wanted to be traded. Harrington coudln't understand that he wasn't the go to guy. I htink O'Neal will need to step it up now and prove he is the go to guy. I don't know much about the players they have got, but What I have seen I like. I think right now the Trade benefits the Warriors more, but I think eventually the pacers will gell together better.
GO PACERS!!

I'm a warriors fan, and I would have to say the trade was fair. Of course all along we were wanting Harrington since pre-season, and according to Chris Mullin today these talks have been going on even prior to that. Your color commentator was on the radio in the bay area yesterday and was saying according to Bird, Harrington didn't fit as well as they had hoped with Jermaine which is why the trade was a little bit easier to do. And of course with the relationship with Donny Walsh, Bird needed to get rid of a troubled player with a lot of problems in Jackson. The person I'm suprised that Indy gave up was that Sharunus dude.
Although it may seem that you guys got the worst of it, that may not be true. Dunleavy has been underachieving, but Troy, and especially Ike are ballers. Troy gives you a big man with out-side range (he can shoot the three), and Ike will give you an added low-post game. (Sure he may be undersized, but you'll soon find out he's going to be a great player.) The only fault with the trade is that Indy will have a weaker defense in regards to Mike and Troy. They didn't play D that well. (Troy may have an excuse due to having achilles tendonitis.)
The one thing that is true though, is that both teams traded for people that would work effectively with the style of basketball each team plays.

When its all said and done..and Brizzi puts a 1yr jail sentence on Jackson, I would say the Pacers did the right thing. This trade was much more of an image thing than a talent thing. The Pacers wanted Jackson gone, and soon Tinsley. The Pacers went from the MODEL TEAM to the Laughing Stock. Pacer fans would rather see model citizens at .500 than thugs at .500! I think you will see an increase in Tix sold. So at a standpoint of Fan support, the Pacers win this trade!

Not a pacer fan, but Good trade. Dunleavey & T. Murphy were underacheiving in Oakland because their style did not fit in with the team, especially under Don Nelson. But the sleeper of the trade might be Diogu.

I guess there is a little salary cap question in that trade. I like the trade though. I think it was time Indiana realized what they needed were young players.
I think Murphy is a good player and that Dunleavy can only get better in this new team

i guess Indiana's been wanting to make a trade for Stephen Jackson for some time, but the fact that they also got rid of Al Harrington and Sarunas Jasikevicius upsets me. i'm really gonna miss Baby Al, as he used to be called when he was with my Pacers the first time around! i only hope this trade makes them better and that Jermaine O'Neal does NOT leave the team! GOOD LUCK PACERS!! : )
cheers,
Shauna!
p.s. Dowon, if you hate the Pacers why would you click on something that says 'Pacers fans'!? personally, i HATE the lakers, absolutely detest and despise them completely, which is why i would never click on something that says 'lakers fans'! sheesh...

Even though i'm not either fan, the pacers got screwed. They gave away Al Harrington. O well, I'm a cavs fan and it is better for the cavs.
