How would you Define the American culture? What do you believe is something extraordinary about American Culture, Compared to that of Other Cultures around the world?

American culter is a huge melting pot (as my history professor used to say.) there is no culture... when asked, 98% of americans will say they are american... ask any other human in the world, and you will get their culture.... german, french, muslim, spanish.... every one comes from some where.

It's quite different from other cultures.
First of all I talk about what I can say from far (I'm Spanish and living in Spain).
I think that is a mix from different European cultures, and this makes it strange. So, most countries have our cultures as a sign of what we are and what was the land of our ancestors, but American is formed by lots of people who moved there for different reasons, and the first thing they did was kill and steal to the natives... And the worst of all, I think, it's that being all foreigners, most of them during centuries and in some places nowadays, are racist, I think this is the most difficult part to understand.
But forgetting it and the fact of how they love to get in wars (although they were in the other part of planet, e.g. Vietnam) I think it's quite interesting, and in most cases only a bit known...

I wouldn't even say we have culture anymore- we have television and computers and bars and we work all the time. No time for culture just blaaaaaaah
Then again I think most of the "civilized" world is like that now

what's your opinion. Live in the usa and abuse the americans. What is it that you'll be able to give a contribution to the yankee society to make it bigger. Please ask your peers household and the individuals out of your motherland to outline american tradition. The entire nation is fabricated from immigrants so we have to take the global culure into point of view after which outline american tradition.

What "culture" NONE...there isn`t any...lacking culture, manners, common sense, morals... etc. etc.
