It's when a load of people pick you up by the arms and legs and swing you up and down and bump you onto the ground. They usually bump you once for every year old that you are.

Yes what everybody else said really. On your birthday you lie on the floor then friends pick you up by the wrists and ankles in a starfish type pose (only with 4 limbs) and swing you in the air and then down to the ground so that your bum bumps the floor (not too hard) you get one for every year before they let you go.
ps this usually stops when you're about ten and then starts again when you're older and had a few drinks, ha ha

Bumps refers to being tossed in the air by a group of friends to celebrate your Birthday - it's normally done by holding your arms & legs and counting the number of years (your age)

The 'Bumps': Take the birthday person by each limb, (one person to limb) lift bday person up and then let them down to touch the ground for each year they have been born and 3 extra for luck. Some people do it hardish, others don't, but bday person has to take it in fun or everybody thinks they are whinners, and no one wants that do they?

I think you mean... when you were at primary school, if it was your birthday two other kids would hold you, one by the arms and one by the legs, and bump you on the ground, then lift you again, once for each year. Depending on who was doing it, it could be quite violent.

I do! It's when someone holds your hands and another person holds your legs/feet and they lift you up - and BUMP you on the ground for your birthday number (say 15 - 15 bumps etc.). i don't think it happens any more though... probably not a bad thing....

The bumps are when people grab you by your arms and legs and throw you up and down. Generally one bump (throw) per year of birth. I hate them.
