Someone who loves education, is knowledgeable, but doesn't think they have all the answers.

Someone who gets the students thinking, and welcomes their opinions and information. Ultimately, someone who inspires.

Someone who has the ability to connect with the kids or young adults that are being taught.

Someone who does it for all the right reasons, who believes that they can make a difference, even if it takes a while to see it.

Someone who isn't after long vacation time, a pension or leaving work at a decent hour. Someone who is always willing to stay behind if they feel that a child needs them.

Someone who goes into it because they want a career that is satisfying, but doesn't have any expectations in regards to how much they will actually achieve.

Someone that doesn't preach, but leaves his or her door open.

Someone who is observant and can pick out the kids that need extra help and encourage those children.

Someone who promises that they will leave the profession if they ever become desensitized.

Cheers.
