The oldest Man that ever lived was Shigechiyo Izumi from Japan who lived to be 120 years 237 days old.
The bible says in Gen.5:27 that Methuselah lived 969 years old!

The Biblical claim that Methuselah lived to be 969 years old is a myth. It is not possible for Homo sapiens to reach that age.
He probably lived to be 969 MONTHS old, which is about 81 years. Back then, such an age would have been considered very remarkable, as hardly anyone lived that long.
The oldest known human lifespan is probably around 130 years. The oldest living human is a woman, age 122, in France.

The oldest I've heard was 122 years and the lady lived in a village in Africa...She also said her secret was to drink beer everyday..Go figure...............As far as biblical characters go I don't know, because I believe the bible to be nonsensical rubbish. In 2000, Time Magazine acknowledged Ma Pampo then aged 125 as the world's oldest human. However the Guinness Book of World Records has withheld its official designation, citing a lack of documentation. A state funeral was held for her on 22 October 2003.
