my best friend has shot up from 5'5 to an aamzing 6'10 in the last year, he is 18 and im 17 and everytime i see him and hang out i get a huge erection. im not gay, i dont have feelings for any men, and i have a gf who i love a lot. so why am i getting erections when i see my 6'10 friend? ive never been enthralled with height before.

You need to figure out what the problem is. You are gay and you probably been having these feeling for awhile now. You need to be true to yourself, family and your love ones that really close to you. And by you keep on playing with your emotions it's gonna get more hectic when you get older.
