I don't know what the others are all talking about but it's pretty much what it's like where I live in the south of the U.K. My children - both in twenties- made great friend of all cultures at University and still hang out with them regularly. So, yes , I find the relationships in "Corrie" a perfectly true representation.

Yes, in my opinion, - the Asian characters are nearly all wealthy, well educated and mosttimes professional and articulate, whereas the non-Asians are not all like this as it was originally a soap about ordinary working class northern folk. In this way a racial divide has been created which is not a true reflection of real life.

Sorry, have you actually watched Coronation Street ?

It's about a load of sad gits, who are drunk (always in the pub / bar for you americans), immoral (always having sexual relations (affairs) with other people, liars, criminals, murder's.

It's actually a real life portrail of life in most parts of the world !
