I shouldn't be getting bigger yet, should I?? I hate it! This is my first and I don't understand. I feel fat! I haven’t changed my eating habits. Should I be getting bigger this soon? I was told I wouldn’t notice any changes for quite sometime yet.

I did. I'm 21 weeks now, and have grown out of EVERYTHING! My pants wouldn't fit anymore at about 8 weeks. Your body will put on more weight during pregnancy even if you don't change your eating habits. You should be eating an extra 200-300 calories per day. When I was 10 weeks pregnant, I looked like I was 4 months; I did gain 10 lbs in first trimester though. I think it may be b/c this is my second pregnancy. Don't feel bad, you're not the only one.

I am also 8 weeks pregnant and I can tell a difference in the way my clothes fit. No one else can tell I have gained weight but I can. I dont have any morning sickness and I havent changed my eating habits. I am just assuming because of my small size and since I dont have morning sickness that I am gaining weight a little earlier. I am a little self conscious about it but I know it is going to be a wonderful thing at the end so I am still happy. Just make sure your pants arent too tight because you dont want to be uncomfortable all the time. Leave them unbuttoned or buy you some cute sweat suits to wear for a while. That way you can wear them later also. I hope this helps. Good luck.

Wow it truly is in basic terms too humorous! i'm about an same 7-8 weeks and my pants damage my abdomen! It gained't damage the infant even though it confident is uncomfortable! I went to walmart and offered a pair pairs of $5 pants that were on clearance. i'll purchase maternity outfits after I get farther alongside. good success!

from what i have ready usualy not at 8 weeks but your body could be storing more for the baby if you are very thin? Who cares if you feel fat its for a very good reason and it will more than likely go away with a little work after baby gets here! Enjoy it while you can, it will go by fast! Good Luck and Congrats!

well, maybe you are just real thin and your body is already storing extra to keep the baby fed. althouh normally women dont start to show until at least 12 weeks or so... i mean at 8 weeks- i didnt even know i was pregnant..... but as long as you're not over eating you should be fine... its your body's way of preparing! Congrads on the baby!

Everyone is different, I bought my first pair of maternity pants at 27 weeks. Up until then I just wore my regular clothes, but I would have to keep them unbuttoned.
