Does anyone know how to calculate moisture content by using the temperature in the atmosphere?

My son is doing science work and he is having trouble figuring out how to calculate the moisture content in the atmosphere. He has the temperature and the pressure figured out, but the moisture content is giving him some trouble.

You can not solve for the relative humidity with the temperatue alone. You need the dew point as well. However, if you are looking for the absolute humidity (the weight of the water vapor in a given amount of air) then that can change as a result of changes in pressure and temperature which cause changes in volume or the given amount of air in which case the absolute humidity goes down. With a temp and pressure he can use the Gas law to compute the volume of air PV = RT where R is the gas constant and with R, P, and T known the volume can be solved for. If you know the weight of the water vapor in gm you can then compute this humidity. It seems as if some info might be missing in this problem you have given us. by pressure, do you mean vapor pressure? you must have a measure of vapor pressure, be it from relative humidity, dew point, etc. what units do you want moisture content in? with temperature you can get "saturation vapor pressure" which is the total vapor pressure that is possible at a given temperature. if vapor pressure = saturation vapor pressure, relative humidity = 100%. vapor pressure / saturation vapor pressure * 100 = relative humidity
