yes, but then depending on the phone as too how much it will use. The OS, operating system, is different with each phone. Treo 700 uses two different types of OS, Palm and Windows, as these are two different type of systems. Then the OS may differ by level. An old Treo 600 I think used Palm OS 3.0, but could not use the same OS 5.0 as the new Treo 700.

It has RAM, but it's not like those that are in your computer. cell phone use different type of OS, it depends on the make of the phone and the phone type. let's say a normal phone will have their very own OS develope by their own brand. as for smart phone and PDA phone, it has OS like linux,Windows MObile, Windows CE, Palm OS and Symbian.
