There are many ways to avoid crowds. These tips often but don't always work:
Avoid Saturdays and weekends during the summer. Go mid-week.
Go when the weather is a little cool in the fall.
Go when skies are overcast and dreary, but not during heavy rain, as the park may close!
September is ofen a slow month for seasonal parks, as the kids are all back in school and families have already taken their vacations.
Go during a major football, basketball, or baseball game if you are not a sports fan, depending on the season/when the park is open.

Weekdays, usually Mon.-Thurs. Also, go to the back of the park first, everybody will be caught by the rides up front. By the time the crowd makes it to the back, the front has thinned up some so you will have a slightly shorter wait time. But you have to be there for opening time, anytime after the whole park is usually already teeming with people.
