Do You know the name and possibly the artist of the theme song that played on the old classic cartoon named Courageous cat and minut mouse?
I heard a sloppy version by a rock band named New York Dolls but thats not it.The original version is Jazzy and clean sounding.

Nelson Riddle did the music, I'll try and find the song. The jazz theme on 'Courageous Cat' was great ... but it WASN'T created for this show. It was a piece of stock music which the producers found in the audiotape library, and they had the good taste to use it. D'you remember a 1950s show called 'The Millionaire'? This show was made before 'Courageous Cat'. Whenever 'The Millionaire' featured a scene involving jazz musicians, or beachcombers, or anybody who was remotely 'hip', the soundtrack invariably played this jazz music: the same music that LATER became the 'Courageous Cat' theme!
one more bit of trivia on the theme song, the semi-legendary 70s glam/punk/hard rock band "THE NEW YORK DOLLS" occasionally performed the cartoon's theme during their concerts. You can hear a version of it on that recently released "best of" type compilation. You can get the song name from it.

They have a listing for Courageous Cat on Toonopedia, and they usually list artists and soundtracks, too. (Toonopedia is usually better for our purposes than wikipedia, because it is toons only. ) Enjoy!
