Hi,
I'm a male hispanic. Is partly cultural. But, mostly it boils down to no one teaching these boys to repect women. The thing is that there are no consequences or nobody tells them that they should not do that. What they are doing is objectifying you. They really mean what they are saying by the way. They want the attention that they would normally won't get and is a way for them to express their feelings albeit not in the most apropiate way. You wil see this behaviour mostly in younger males. One thing you can do is to put them down verbally. that usually but not always wil back them off. they wil probably get confrontational because they don't want to look like the idiots they are in front of their friends. The consequence of speaking up is that you will be labeled but who cares since you are not going to go out with them anyways.

its a part of life, not just one race. I talked to a girl from Bosnia, and she said men do the same thing there. I knew a woman from Japan, men do the same thing. I lived in hawaii for 3 years, men did the same thing there too. I went to an all white high school, men did the same thing. I lived in one of the worst parts of Los Angeles and Philly, same thing. People that assume any type of behavior is done soley by one group or race, are ignorant and need to explore life and the world. We all kill, steal, hate, are poor, use the government, cheat on our wives, husbands, spend money foolishly, sell drugs, on and on...ignorant chumps.

Yes, it is part of the Hispanic male culture, to whistle, beep the horns and call you a pretty endearing name like "mamacita" (dear mommy)
or some of them will mention even God to help them to behold your beauty. When you do not get this form of compliments, you should start to worry, it means that you are not attractive or young anymore. So enjoy it girl.!!!

Yes is a part of their culture just as we say "girl, chick, dude, baby" its some sort of being flattered but instead more upfront and making anything that is 'pretty' considered beautiful

First of all "Kit C" is wrong, they are not insulting you. If they call you negrita and mamacita is because they think you are cute and hot, and all men do that. ¿Can you show me a picture of you?

Regards.

I experience the same behavior from predominately latino men. I think they appreciate beauty and they enjoy expressing that.

Their women are not attractive so they don't know how to act when then see a beautiful woman. I know how you feel. It could be they are trying to meet someone and don't know how else to go about it. It is annoying.
