I can hardly believe it. He doesn't strike me as the church minister type. It even states that he remarried his parents in 1999. Then what the hell is he doing as the host of reality tv shows? Won't his church need him?

You can still be involved with church and have a career. Survivor only shoots for the 39 "days", and not more than once or twice a year. If Jeff had time to hook up with ex-contestant Julie, I'm sure he has time to be involved with his church on the side too.
I'm not saying his relationship with Julie is bad...it's just that people can have personal lives as well as spiritual and professional.

The Universal Life Church (or ULC) is a religious organization that offers anyone immediate ordination as a ULC minister free of charge. The organization states that anyone can become a minister immediately, without having to go through the pre-ordination process required by other religious faiths. This organization, its ordinations, and its honorary doctorates (many of which do not require fulfilling any academic course or standard of achievement), are not generally recognized by larger traditional churches.
It's kinda like how Joey on "Friends" was able to marry Chandler and Monica.

I did not know that. But, it doesn't surprise me since I've been praying to the Church of Probst since the first season of Survivor. He's my reality god among men.
Also, ordained ministers don't usually have their own churches. They usually use their "ministry" to marry friends and family.

Anyone can be a minister of the Universal Life Church. It's not like he went to seminary or anything.

Survivor is a fake reality tv show. They are all fake except Ultimate Fighter. After they shoot they go to thier hotels people and eat and drink!!! Hello!
