I park my bike on sidewalks, I park it in fire lanes, I make sure I am not blocking entrances or pedestrian traffic. But there is no way I would ever park it in a disabled parking spot. As for the expectant mother spaces, I have a slight problem with them, any woman can park there and simply claim she is preg. Who's gonna give her a preg test to see if she is telling the truth. Besides I was always under the understanding that exercise is good for anyone including preg women. Convert these spaces to new mothers with infants and I would be much happier. But who am I to complain anyway. I still won't park there.
I have worked with the truly disabled for many years. I know what they go thru when they pull their vans in and can not find a safe place to unload the wheel chair because some lazy azz has decided they didn't want to walk 30 feet more. I no longer work with them but still have good friends among them.

Lets sort a few things out here, disabled badges are issued to people who have difficulty walking, disabled bays are located near the entrances to shops so that the person only has a short distance to walk before they can take advantage of a stores wheelchair if available. You have to consider that because someone who is disabled appears to be able walk, means that walking is easy, a few examples, people who suffer from, Tunnel vision, blindness, hip problems, knee problems, back injuries, balance problems due to inner ear damage, vertigo, heart problems, do I really have to go on?. Any able person who parks in a disabled bay has absolutely no compassion and obviously doesn`t give a toss about anybody else.

I personally wouldn't, but then I'm not disabled. But, don't always be so quick to judge people, I have a friend with an artificial leg that still rides a motorcycle.

If I was a parent and my child was a pillion why not? Just because it's a motorbike doesn't mean the rider isn't disabled, there's a large disable biker community out there.

Disabled space no, parent and obese lazy child space yes. Having a squeeling brat doesn't mean you cant walk.

No! I've seen folks park in the lined area around the handicapped spaces too. They are there for a reason.

Never have, never will. More sympathy for the disabled than for parent and child, though.
