I usually get them threaded, it last longer. It hurts the first couple of times you do it, but you'll get used to it.

Trimming is okay, but plucking will work better and make them look neater yet. My suggestion is to get them "shaped" and waxed at a salon. Then just pluck out the stray ones that grow in every now and then.
Plus, it's easy to make a mistake when you're trimming, and accidentally cut off something you didn't want to - you don't want to be left with a big swash of nothing through the center of your brows!
If you want to pluck on your own without going to a pro, make sure the eyebrow doesn't extend past either end of your eye. Take a pencil or other thin straight object, and hold it to the edge of your nose, and diagonally up past and through your iris. Where it hits the brow is where the apex of your eyebrow arch should be.
Also, pluck only from the botton - try not to pluck too much from the top of your brows.

Ok.. First, use a tweezer to pluck out the unwanted hair from the lower side of the eyebrow.. thereby forming the thickness and shape that you want. Never ever pluck out hair from the upper side of the eyebrow.. you will spoil the shape of teh eyebrow, pluck only from the lower side and follow the natural shape of the eyebrow.
Once this is done, comb the eyebrows upwards at the nose end, and use a scissors to trim off the lengthy hair jutting out.. thereby making it uniform.
Hope this helped.

Use a small brush, sweep the hair upward, trim very carefully what is sticking out past the main part of the eyebrow, brush back down and out toward the ears.

Take a little eyebrow brush, you can buy them anywhere. Comb your eyebrows upwards and trim with small scissors along the upper part of your eyebrow line.

If your problem is that your eyebrows are flying everywhere... use some unscented hair gel and brush it on to them with an old toothbrush. Or if you must trim them, look at close up pictures of Jessica Alba and try to copy hers.

Go to a salon/spa/estetician(sp?), I promise they will do it so many times better than you can do yourself and it will be worth it. Nice eyebrows can make anyone look prettier and bad ones can make a gorgeous person look not so great. I have been getting my brows done professionally for years and it is the best beauty investment I have ever made!!

If you go to walmart or longs or any place like that they have this new mirror that magnifies your face really well plus around the mirror there is a light so it shows every single hair that you have on your face. then you can use tweezers to get rid of all the unwanted eyebrow hair that you have.

Just pluck them with tweezers. The first time you do it, it will hurt quite a lot but after a while you cant feel a thing! :)
