Yes. The "everyone is a winner" mentality is getting a bit thin. Is there any other society so full of undeserved self esteem? Some of those folks are absolutely horrible, yet feel that they deserve not only to go to the next level but to be awarded the whole shebang right there on the spot.

American Idol just like fear factor and biggest loser and bla bla bla are fake I work on these three and they are all actors. The winner of American Idol (who is a professional singer) has already a CD to release once He or she wins. Before the show starts the winner has already been determine. That is also how they are so mean cause acting doesn't really hurt any one. Com on people just because the camera is giggling doesn't mean its reality!! Dr Zebato

You got to wonder, don't you. What season is this? So the contestants know that they are going to get torn apart. I think it's pathetic myself. Why I didn't turn the TV off last night after the big girl with the pink arms and legs performed, I don't know. I could never show my face in public after experiencing that ridicule. And the poor young guy with the big eyes, who Simon asked if he wasn't from the jungle, and then Paula and laughed her a** off after he left.

Yes, I mean, some of those people have got to know they have no talent. For instance, that one girl who kept doing the impression of the cowardly lion...does she really think anyone would buy a cd with her singing like the lion from Wizard of Oz?

300 million people if 1/10th of 1% are nuts that is 300,000 seems that them finding 30 or so doesn't mean there is an abundence

i think american idol is ridiculous but at the same time i must be completly honest and say i am so addicted to it i dont miss a minute when its on

I in reality opt for to video reveal the yank Idol auditions, as for u.s.'s next excellent type i opt for to video reveal the episodes in the route of the great. although, I choose u.s.'s next excellent type any day.

I don't know where they find some of those people... you know it has to be set up though. I met a girl (forget her name) who auditioned and didn't even make it past the preliminary judges. And she is good!!!
