I'm not... i can meet someone new and forget their name in a matter of seconds. How can i fix this problem?

Yes, the next time you meet a new person ( that you know you will be seeing more than once a year) repeat their name as they introduce themselves......then ask their job, or a hobby or even pet
this way ...For example Hi , I'm Penny nice to meet you , Oh I am a fitness consultant, so now you associate Penny with exercise, a pennywalker ... NOW 6 months later when you see me you will think oh that 's the one that liked to exercise , or pennywalker OH Hi Penny! Word association Harry the postal worker ( Mail Harry)
Joshua the firefighter ( Joshua dalmations) Go by hair color too !

You're not alone. I forget names quite easily too. The only way that I can occasionally imprint someone's name in my memory is if they are named after someone I already know. I make sure that I relate their appearance with the person that I know and I can usually remember their name.

I'm better with dates than I am with names. I can remember someones birthday, like a friends mother's birthday before I can
remember a name! weird, I know. I think that if they make a huge impression on me when meeting them, it would help to remember them tho.

As soon as you meet them address them by their names. It is easier to remember names the more you use them, so if you meet someone say 'nice to meet you ___' and try to make a bit of conversation while addressing their names again and again.

I remembered my girlfriends name after I met her but other than that, I'm terrible with names. I work with children and I have to call each of them buddy or something like that because I can't remember their names.

i have an excellent memorty i can remember peoples names that i went to elementary school with. a good way to remember a persons name is to say it frequently when you first meet them.

I think that's just a mental quirk, some people never forget a name, some people can't remember their own name.

No I'm not good at it. The best way is too say their name over and over again after you meet them.
