I like Lyla.. I like names with Y's it looks nice.. thats why I named my daughter ARYA and not Aria

I am not sure if these are just alternate spellings for one name or if they are two different names. If they are supposed to be pronounced the same, I like Lyla. If they are different names, I like Laila.

I am instantly atrracted to Laila it seems much more feminine Lyla for some odd reason reminds me of an animated video gamers babe - besides LAILA is origanily an ARABIC name meaning DARK BEAUTY, where as LYLA is a FRENCH name meaning ISLAND.

I think Lyla is short for Delyla. I like Laila, but with a Y. I like the name Layla. It just sounds like a very cute name. My aunt's having a baby and naming it Elaina. I like that name too!

It's pretty, and it will look very professional on a business card/name take one day. Lyla looks more cutsie, in the adult world Laila not only sounds pretty, but looks good.
