Our honeymoon was during my ovulation time nearly 3 weeks ago.
Last week I started feeling dizzy, light headed, a little sick to my stomach, and started aching everywhere. Also had odd cramps in my lower abdomen and breasts are really sore around the nipple. The cramping continued for a few more days (pms like) and have since stopped.
I have been extremely tired also. It's been really difficult for me to wake up in the morning and I've been falling asleep really early. So, the time for my period has come and gone. Instead, I seemed to have increased discharge. I took 2 preg tests 2 days ago (one at night, one the next mornig) and they were negative. I thought I would probably start yesterday and didn't and the pms cramps have since subsided. The preg tests I took were the same brand (First Response). Should I try again next week with a different brand? I feel stupid going to the DR for a blood test when I haven't had a positive urine test.

Well, I called the doctor to make an appt and the nurse already jumped to the "your are very early pregnant" and has called in the vitamins! I have an appt today for a blood test (she called it something else).
Thanks for your responses!

me personally think you maybe preggers when i was pregnant with my 2nd son i did 3 doctors tests and they all came back negative (this was over period of 3 months) the last test i did was again a drs test 1 week after my 3rd test and result possitive so dont be fooled by the home test because you may well be also if you are pregnant you wont have to see a midwife until you are 8 weeks so i would advise that you wait a couple of weeks (if you can) but if you get really ill or the cramps get worse and more painfull consult your gp they will advise you on what is best to do.
good luck and if you are pregnant CONGRATULATIONS xx

There are always false negatives but NEVER false positives (unless you had just miscarried).

I say wait another week or two and take another one at your doctors. Early detection is sometime difficult for people.

i don't think you should be having cramps in your lower abdomen though, the first weeks of a pregnancy should bring no pain but in your breasts and nipples.

Never feel stupid for going to a doctor for anything. They get paid good money (from your pocket) every time you go in, it's a win win

you could very well be pregnant.
a negative test when you are pregnant isnt overly uncommon.
you can try again next week with a different test and if it still comes back negative and you have yet to have a period, there is no reason to feel stupid going to the doc's
even if you are not pregnant, your doc can tell you why you have not been getting a period, which isnt always the smartest idea for women to ignore..
i always used to think when i got the period, i felt normal and womanly!
best of luck

My friend had a lot of symptoms, but all the HPTs she took came out negative. She finally went to the DR and the blood test was positive! I never believe HPTs anymore. Good luck!

i had that happend to me before and the only way to know for sure is the doctor to do a blood test. I had 4 false negatives on the homepregnancy tests.

just go to the doctor and save your self the doubt.

There is no reason to feel stupid. I had negative tests for over 4 mths before i finally went to the dr. I was pregnant but my hormone levels were so low they didn't detect the pregnancy. The earlier you start going to the dr. the better it is for your baby.

Just wait for a week or two and if you havent started your period, test again. it sounds like you are pregnant. if you dont get a positive two weeks from now go to your doctor for a blood test or an ultrasound. they will tell you for sure.

Don't feel stupid for getting a blood test done. That is the one for sure way of finding out whether your expecting or not! Go get one done! Good Luck!

Congratulations on your marriage! You definitely sound pregnant to me, all your symptoms are right, but I don't think those OTC test kits work that well. Go see the doctor and good luck!

the excitement from getting married has made you late. try to relax. you will start soon. getting married does this sometimes just relax and see your doctor. your signs are all period related and getting married being tired is also a part of just getting married
