Any bleeding while your pregnant should be reported to your OB right away. There is always a reason this is happening. It's not a period though, as a period is the disposal of the unused egg and lining of the uterus. I bled for the first few months and I had a condition that explained it. It could be nothing or it could be serious, but either way it's not to go ignored.

It's possible for women to have a period throughout their entire pregnancy. It's not unusual. But, if you do have something the looks like a period, you should have yourself checked out, just to make sure. Your doctor can make sure that you don't have something wrong and give you peace of mind. Something that all pregnant woman need.

Anything is possible Hun but just because your mother had it does not mean you will. Every pregnancy and every person is different. Getting as much advice as you can I think is very wise and important in helping you understand pregnancy. I wish you all the best.

Its possible that it could happen to anyone, including you. But i dont think its genetic...so your chances of it happening to you should not be any greater just b/c it happened to your mom.

It's possible, but not probable. Things like that aren't genetic.
