You still have a chance of miscarriage. But only like 20 percent, until after 12 weeks, then your chances lower. Relax. Don't stress over it.

Yes. I am sorry to say that you are not in the clear. I miscarried at exactly 3 months after 2 normal sonograms.

If you do end up having a miscarriage, it is for the best. I don't mean to be harsh, but miscarrying is the babies (or your bodies way) of aborting a fetus that wasn't properly developing. You wouldn't want that for yourself or the baby.

I know it sucks to here, but when I finally came to terms with the facts, it made it easier to deal with.

I am sure you'll be fine. It's the maternal instinct kicking in that makes you worry for your child. Luck to you.

** I am 36 weeks pregnant and I still worry about stillbirth, just letting you know, the worrying never stops**

you can;t stress over it, but yes it happens.

I had an ultrasound at 13 weeks, my baby waved at us, or so it seemed, 4 weeks later I miscarried a perfectly healthy, normally developed 17 weeks fetus. Turns out I had a rare blood disorder that caused my placenta to suffocate my baby by clotting and not letting any oxegyn through.

I am currently pregnant with my 4th, I had one baby after my miscarriage, and am having another one now. 17 weeks today.

Ultrasound is an amazing tool that can be used to identify a lot of problems. Hopefully its more about reassurance than anything else.

Sadly there are a lot of things that can cause miscarriage that the ultasound wont see....or maybe the doctor didnt recognise.

yes it happens. But it wont do you any good to worrry about it. If they saw a heart beat and heard it your chances drop dramatically. Once you hit the 13 weeks mark your chances of a miscarry drop to like 3 %

It's never happened to me but I've read plenty of other women's stories where this happened. Try to relax. Worrying won't help. And try to keep in mind that when you miscarry in the first trimester, it wasnt your fault and nothing could have been done to prevent it.
