I am supposed to start my period next Friday or Saturday, but lately I have been so moody....(happy then sad and crying, or happy then mad), and I have been eating a lot and feel like I can't get full. But then I feel really bloated and just yucky.....I know it has to do with hormones....but more specifically, why do we get like this before our periods? And how come I don't feel like this every month before my period....in fact, I haven't in a long time. Any answers???

Don't worry. Those symptoms are natural. And not all periods are alike, even for the same person.

I can start feeling such symptoms over a week before my period sometimes. It will range from simply having some cravings to being a bloated, achy *****.

I don't know the scientific reason for it. Maybe it's to keep guys from trying anyway :P But it's completely natural.

Hormonal changes. All through life your hormonal balance changes. As our bodies cycle the amount of estrogen increases and decreases. And as we mature, that changes as well.
Stress also complicates the issue and in this high charged world we live in-stress is a commonplace.

You pretty much get all the symptoms as if you were pregnant.....moody, emotional, VERY hungry, breast tenderness, all those junky things. Happens to all of us I guess, just some more than others.
