My sister has just this minute changed her name by DEED POLL. Bearing in mind that she is still married to another man. She has changed her name to the man she is now seeing.
She wants to marry this guy she is now seeing soon.
She is telling everyone she that it is her ex-husband, when she is still technically married!
She only known this other guy for a year and left her husband in other city to be woth her other man.
The husband wants to divorce her on the grounds of adultery.
Is she off her head she is younger than me!

I would have not changed my name to the other blokes name. What if the relationship does not work. I am married twice and when my first husband and I separated my surname stayed the same, but after 18 months being separated I met my second husband and after a year I became pregnant with my daughter. I changed my name by Deed poll as it did not sound right being called by my married name when I went to the hospital checkup. I changed my surname to my maiden one as I did not know if I was going to marry my daughters father and happy to say that after six years in the relationship we did get married and have been together now for 14 years. Your sister is an adult so let her do what she pleases, be there for her when she needs you.

Didn't need to use deed poll for a surname. She only needed to tell people that she is now to be known as ...
However it does make all the legal stuff easier. It might have been cheaper to wait and marry this fellow and then the name change would have cost nothing. She sounds a bit head strong and acts without proper thought.

Mrs. Tiger Tony I believe that your ex will have to sign a paper allowing your new man to adopt this child. You would be best to speak with a lawyer to verify this information however. It is very difficult today with many multiple marriages and lots of brothers and sisters having different surnames. Best of luck.

she can legally change her name by deed poll as long as it,s not for fraudulent reasons she prob is bein a bit hasty especially if her hubby is willin to give her a divorce ur sister seems a bit erratic to me but that my opinion at the end of the day it,s her life let her do as she pleases just be there for her when it all goes belly up

well the husband is right she had no right to up and leave him people that do that need to be punished maybe if they had to pay for there actions then it wouldnt keep tearing up familys put her in jail i say justice for adultry

she is madly in love and very impulsive. but she is happy, and this should please you. chances are there will be troubles on her way, but chances are she will overcome everything thanks to her feelings for this guy. so, why worry? enjoy life you too, and if you really want to keep worried, be ready to help her when she is in need.
