I can't stand Madden for two reasons:
1: He always explains the obvious, like "you know, when you're running with the ball and there's no hole, and you are running up the middle, you are not going to get any positive yards."
2: He's more interested in his commentary than the current play. For example, when they first started having the ability to draw on the screen, he switched from the game to the moon and started drawing circles around it and talking about the moon while the game was in progress.

After watching this year's Cotton Bowl, I would have to say Pat Summeral. Probably the single worst broadcast I've ever seen. He practically slept walk through the entire thing, and might as well have been broadcasting a putt putt golf tournament.
Add the technical goofs such as the fogged up SkyCam and the booth accidentally switching to footage of a woman wolfing down funnel cakes (Yes, FUNNEL CAKES) during a nullified touchdown catch, and you realize how this had to have been the very worst broadcast of a major sporting event on record.

Why does everyone hate Joe Buck? I like him. I hate Michael Irvin and Shannon Sharp. They both sound like idiots all the time. Madden needs to retire he stopped making sense 4 years ago.

Without a doubt the Daves on the Lincoln Financial Network. They talk like everyone is in 2nd grade and knows nothing about football.

The Monday night crew are horrible. Theisman, Kornheiser, and Tirico are by far the worst. Collinsworth has emerged as the most intelligent, thoughtful analyst to come around in years.

Being from St. Louis, I love Joe Buck, and while I don't "hate" any anouncers, I don't like football on ABC. They have the spanish subtitles you can't turn off, that obstruct the picture and even interfere with graphics like the score.
