I don't know where your from. But in ontario you get a 1 year paid maternity leave. Don't worry about what anyone says. When i was working i was a bad mother because i was working. When i decided to be a stay at home mom i was a bad mother because i didn't have a job. Do what makes you happy. Your always going to have people putting there 2 cents in. If your happy who cares what anyone else thinks.

During that time off you can do lots of things if you have the time. If you want to seek other employment or just sit back and relax and enjoy being mommy! I myself didn't return to work after I had my son. My job was terminated after the 12 wks and I didn't return. I am now a full-time mom to a 2 and 1/2 yr old boy!! I took up the computer.. what I am doing now...Lots of opportunities!!

I am confused...you arent going back after 12 weeks? But you want to go back? If that is the case there is something called FMLA family medical leave act that some jobs offer depending on their size and you have to be approved for it but is where you can leave for an extended periodof time to care for yourself or an immediate family member. Ask about it.... otherwise I am not sure what you need.

there is the family medical leave thing that someone mentioned, my husband was gonna take that when our baby is born, but he desided not to because you dont get paid for it. you do have to be aproved for the full 12 weeks though. they told my husband that it depended on how he was as a worker depends on how much time they will give him (his job didnt tell him this, the people he called that work with the famil medical leave told him this, said they contact his boss and stuff) but they have to give you some time off... if you guys can make it without you working i would just say be a full time mommy, thats my plans. i just dont care for the idea of putting my child in day care when im perfectly able to watch and raise my own kid. (not saying there is anything wrong with people who put there kids in day care)

some states grant 12 weeks, some 8, some 6. till you reside in a state that demands paid day off, your business enterprise isnt required to furnish it. in case you have a disability coverage, for short term disability it could pay 6 weeks (fairly 5 considering which you have a a million week era of non-cost) for vaginal transport or, 8 weeks (fairly 7) for c-area. i assume you ought to decide to take this to boot on your 6 weeks paid bypass away yet anticipate your top classification to the two strengthen (for having used the assurance) or, to be cancelled. you ought to check with your business enterprise how lots bypass away you may take. in spite of in case you may take 6 weeks business enterprise time and six weeks disability, it doesnt advise your business enterprise will ought to hold your job for better than the 6 weeks because of the fact the regulation purely demands 6 weeks till you % family members scientific bypass away, it fairly is a distinctive ball game.

bieng a stay at home mom is the best. my husband provides our income and i take care of our home and children. trust me it is more than a full time job.because i work in the home my husband lets me control the money. basicaly i pay all the bills and buy all the groceries and every thingelse we might need. gas, soap, detergent, cleaning suplies, and so on.what is left after that is put in the bank and we each keep a small sum for wourselves and our kids. i think this could work for you. if you get bored you could always start a new hobby. make jewelry or sew or something like that. as a stay at home mom i think a woman who loves her kid enough to raise him/her herself is wonderful.

I'm guessing since you aren't planning on going back, you are actually quitting? You have a couple options... you can try to withdraw Social Security money, or you can attempt to get unemployment wages, but I think you have to have been fired for the last one.

Hopefully you have someone to support you while you are home with your newborn.

I don't know if I fully understand your question. You could stay home and take care of your little one. Like a stay-at-home-mom. Its the best job in the world.
