(A - B)^3
= A^3 - 3A^2B + 3AB^2 - B^3
HERE>> A = 2x and B = 1
(2x - 1)^3
= (2x)^3 - 3(2x)^2 . 1 + 3 (2x) . 1^2 - 1^3
= 8x^3 - 12x^2 + 6x - 1

you need to use the distributive property. And Multiply the 3 in to (2x-1) and you get (6x-3) [ multiply evenly through out and becareful of the sings]. THen you can set it equal to "zero" if you are solving for x and it will be (6x-3)=0 and you would need to take and add the Three to both sides 6x-3+3+3 which is really 6x=3 right? And then you divide out the 6 and you are left with x=(3/6) or just x=(1/2) or also x=.5

If the problem is to produce an equivalent expression, use the distributive property. That is, multiply the factor 3 by each term inside the parenthesis.
2x can be written as 2 * x, so multiplying by 3 gives you 2 * x * 3. Rewrite as 2 * 3 * x, then simplify to 6 * x, or 6X.
1 * 3 is 3, so the entire expression is 6x - 3.

i visit describe thirteen (only discovered this those days im in alg a million too:)) ok, so that you've 2x^2 + 5x =12. first, make the right part = 0 to element it. so that you subtract 12 from both part: 2x^2 + 5x - 12. They continually bypass in that order: decision- variable- squared then decision-variable then decision in reality. Now to element: factors of two are 1and 2. factors of -12 are -4 and three or -3 and four. the plausible factorization: (x-3)(2x+4) or (2x-4)(x+3). multiply the exterior by the interior. 4x-6x=-2x. 6x-4x=2x. That one is ideal so the answer is (2x-4)(x+3). there are also extra incorrect consequences with the elements to bypass by yet i did in reality 2. That one is ideal because the answer is 2x, the first type of the equation. i wish this permits, its very puzzling!

As you can see from the answers, it isn't clear to people what the expression is.
(2x - 1)3 = 6x - 3.
OR
(2x - 1)^3 = (2x - 1)(2x - 1)(2x - 1) = .....

I suppose that is a cube? So you want it multiplied out?
(2x-1) * (2x-1) * (2x-1)
(4x^2 - 4x +2) * (2x-1)
8x^3 - 12x^2 + 6x - 2
