With everything going on with the War on Iraq, NO WMDs found, no closure to Sept 11th, No Child Left Behind Act being under funded, The illegal Spy Program, High Gas Prices, National Job Loss, Tax cut for shipping jobs overseas, Huge National Debt, Tax cuts for the Richest 1% of America, Abuse of the USA PATRIOT ACT, CIA Leak case (still ongoing), Secret CIA Prisons, building of new detention facilities outside the US (Cuba), Torture of prisoners (Water Boarding), Holding POWs indefinitely w/o trial, No rights to POWs (lawyers/Red Cross not allowed to see them), Multiple Scandals in the GOP during his terms, and repeatedly deceiving the American People (WMDs, Saddam threat, Illegal Wire Tapping, Patriot Act, ect…) just to name a few.

Bush's legacy will not be a good one. In fact, many notable historians have weighed in with the opinion that he will be regarded as the worst President in our history, bar some miracle in the next two years. My reasoning and theirs? You have named those reasons already. The biggest one will be this debacle of a war though. It will be what Bush is mainly remembered for and what he will be vilified over. The President who cleans up Bush's mess in 2009 will have a chance to be one of the greatest Presidents in history though, IF they clean it up that is.

A large part of your description of his presidency is based on opinions and flat out lies and cannot be backed with facts. I don't think all of his programs are good, for instance no child left behind dummies up our brightest students and has our teachers coaching test rather than teaching critical thinking. The CIA leak case is a witch hunt and is not the fault of Bush. Bush's tax cuts affected me in a positive way and may be responsible for our improved economy and BTW I am not rich. As of now the abuse of the patriot act you claim to have happened has no support. There has been no evidence to support that it is in violation of any law. It may be that some boundaries have been crossed but until the proof is there this is pure speculation. As for the POWs you mention if they were fighting and were not in uniform they are granted no rights under the Geneva Convention and US constitutional rights do not apply to them. I am not saying that some of the prisoners have not been treated wrong but I am saying without a trial you are willing to deem or president guilty but you want do the same for the suspected terrorist.

I believe that historians, three or four generations from now will say that Bush was one president that didn't sit back and wait for things to happen.
The bombing of the Twin Towers called for some serious response. Bush took action, there were no more bombings on American soil.
Much of what you say in your statement, I'm sure was not by order of the president. He can't be in every part of the world at all times. Do you know for sure that he was informed on all of your claims, and put his approval on them ?
If, in the next two years, the Mid-East settles down and joines the world, Bush will be a world hero. If this thing evolves into a war that sucks in all of the nations of the Mid-East, Bush will be given the blame. I'm hoping for the former, but taking no bets.

Wow. Is that the best you can come up with? Can you think on your own or did you overhear someone else say this and decided to make it your own instead of thinking for yourself? Be careful, if you keep copying the liberal media and hatemongers, you may wake up hugging a tree one day. I'm sure that went right over your head.

Is there really any president that is spoken about in a negative manner in the history books? No. The writer's try and keep emotion out of it, which is why the books are so boring to read. Will kids in 50 years care? I'm guessing probably not.

fYeah, pretty srewy this presidency has been. I think he will go down in history as a tryrann just like Hitler and Sadam Hussein has been. Nevertheless, the Bush dynasty will go down I hope no one ever votes for another Bush member. I think they literally stink.

Bush will be viewed as one of the worst Presidents in history, and rightly so.

The nation will be paying the cost of his mistakes for generations to come.

How was Lincoln perceived? He freed slaves to generate a revolt in the south not to free people for humanitarian reasons. The day he signed the emancipation proclamation he hung 30 native Indians. He was supposed to hang 350 of them that day but decided that since he is signing this important legislation he will only hang 30. History has a way of cleaning up things particularly in school. They tend to lighten up things to not disillusion young people.

look the Middle East will never be peaceful without ending the Israeli occupation. This is the conclusion of the UN, EU, Backer-Hamilton report, and President Carter new book. No one could NOT change his mind unless he has no mind. Occupying other people by force is losing policy in the past and now and has no future. That fact he missed.

Good. Remember, they hated Lincoln when he was president. Hated his abolition of slavery, hated him for taking us to war, hated him for not hanging the Southern Traitors... and now he is recognized as a great President.

He used to be called a 'buffoon', same as Bush.
