No, they laugh at Americans for being stupid enough to elect him twice.

I am sure the people in other countries that do not understand that Bush is not truly the president are laughing at Americans. The people in other countries that understand that Bush is just a face to present to the world as "president" but know that there is someone or a group of people that are truly working as "president" are doing anything but laughing.
I just find it amazing that anyone would believe that Bush is doing anything. I don't think he is a bad person, but he certainly isn't the president. It would not surprise me at all to find out his wife has to help him get dressed in the morning.
I am 49 and have voted in every election since I turned 19, but will never bother again. Someone like Bush being put into any political office makes the whole process seem like a bad joke. Can one of my cats run for president next time?

From where I'm standing, I find George W Bush a figure of fun. A clown. But a frightening one, in the sense that he's been allowed to get away with his warmongering behaviour for so long.
Since he's been in power, I have revised my opinion of Americans, because a people that can vote a president into office as bad as George Bush, not once, but TWICE, makes me fear for America's future.

Dont you remember the headlines after he (stole) won the election? The Daily Mirror reported on the front page "How can 59,054,087 People Be So Dumb?". I would take that as other contries are laughing at us! THis headline came out on Nov 4.

But of course, but they also laugh because we are always sticking our noses into the business of other countries, They'd love to see us fall on our own sword.

I have been asked by a few of my international friends what were we thinking?
I think the ones who understand how our political process works are just as baffled as some of us are. So they're not laughing just curious to see what happens next.

Some probably do, but since they're not Americans, their opinion is completely and utterly meaningless. Nobody cares what I as an American think of Jacques Chirac, Tony Blair, or Stephen Harper. I don't particularly care what Frenchmen, Brits, or Canadians think of George Bush.

I seriously doubt if anyone in the world considers the current state of world events laughable.

Some may, others might be really really pissed off. Others may not care, but I know this, other countries think John Howard is America's gimp...........
