If you try to fail, and succeed, which have you done?

a success is something you strive for but anyone can fail if they try as obviously you're not striving for the success so the answer to the question is if you deliberately try not to succeed in life you'll succeed every attempt to fail.

You have failed in failing to succeed but overall you have succeeded in the task. It depends what your intentions are but if you were trying to fail and then succeeded then you have failed what you wanted to do. You have therefore failed.
It makes sense to me, honest.

you mean if you succeed in failing (like if you deilberately lost a race and meant to).....well, you've done both, you've succeeded in one thing and failed in the the thing you meant to fail....!
