I think Indiana was desperate for a face-lift. Stephen Jackson has been a huge letdown on the court, and obviously off the court he has also had issues.

Murphy can play. He's been battling injuries this year, but when healthy, he is a rebounding machine with some shooting range. Plus, he's a Notre Dame alum, so he may be a hometown fave.

Dunleavy was the #3 pick in his draft. Obviously Golden State saw something in him to take him so high. He's just as talented as Jackson, just hasn't been showing it this year.

Indiana probably came out on the short end of this trade, especially because Harrington is a very good player, but I'm thinking Indiana just wanted to change its image. Besides, looking at their record, they needed to do something. I think Larry Bird has a very good eye for talent, though, so I'd guess that Indiana will surprise some people after this trade is all said and done.

If you are one of the nbas biggest fans, why are you questioning this trade?!

You are getting added inside presence with Troy (has outside game and can shoot the three, and has been working on his lowpost game in the off season) and Ike (has early comparisions to Elton Brand) is going to be a great inside player although he doesn't look like it.

Do the homework man! In the long run, Indy got the better deal. Sure you got Dunleavey, but the other two have tons of potential. And best of all you've got outstanding citizens.

We got a rowdy thug, an underachieving tweener, and un-proven forward. and Sharunus. (the only part of the trade I like.)

troy murphy is a better rebounding big man than harrington. Stephan Jackson is a thug and obviously indiana hasnt been playing well with those players so its good to shake things up.

Dunleavy is an average guy, thats it. Ike Diogu has a huge upside on a team that doesnt make him run, so look out for him.
Yeah its a weird trade but those guys couldnt run with GS and the IND guys just werent getting the job done.

If you are one of the biggest NBA fans like me, then you should know that the pacers traded Jackson who has done major harm to the franchise's image the past few seasons and the fans don't like him and don't want to watch him thats why he barely starts too. They are hoping to begin a new era where they can once again capture the fans of Indiana, as they did during the Reggie Miller/Mark Jackson/Rik Smits era.

You probably don't know these guys cause they're not in a hot team. They're from golden state and they were pratically two of their best players.

I think that trade is a good one since Indiana really needs some younger dude to play over there.
