Companies that are into Medical Transcription do train the candidates with a view to hire them. You may like to approach them for employement. In case you are selected they themselves train you on the MT.

There are a number of online schools that can teach you medical transcription. I am using Penn Foster to study medical transcription now and it seems to be a really good course. After you are finished with the class, they will help with employment. Go to pennfoster.com
They also have other medical classes you can take. They are a certified school and will send you a certificate after completion to put with your applications or resumes.
Good Luck

Quit a good Number of Coaching / Training Institutions (mostly,
medical transcription centres, themselves or their sister concerns are in Business of training and Testing & certifying). No authority or College or University is their to train and certify, as on date, for 'medical transcription'.

As of now, no College / University / Agency approved by the Govt is offering this course. But there are a lot of pvt institutes that offer to train you in MT and offer a Job placement too. But I don't know if any MT company approve of these institutes. But, MT companies like SPHERIS offer a 50 day training at a very nominal cost if u pass their test in English. Fees in other institutes range from Rs.10000 to Rs.35000/-

There are apparently no schools in India that actually have medical transcription courses...I say that judging by the poor work India's transcription companies put out (in America). If you DO manage to become one in India, please work for an Indian institution...and let THEIR physicians deal with the mistakes.
