First Joan Jett was HOT when I was younger. I had a bad crush on her then. I have not seen recent photos. Some of my cousins, and friends give me $hit for thinking this
Next, music today is twisting out of control with lack of talent, and all sounding alike. I used to like rap when the whole movement was getting big, the music was about beats and rhymes, and stories of the streets - now it is about "killin foos", and "I got this and that". I liked A LOT of punk and am sorry it is gone now - the bands calling themselves punkrockers today need to stop it. Rock and roll, metal, hair bands were good. Today it all sounds alike with just a different voice. There are few bands that are heavy hitters today. Do any of you agree and or see what I see? And yes,(those of you who know me) - Joan Jett was HOT!!

Joan Jett was one sexy women. She didn't give a damn about her bad reputation.
I don't like any hip hop or rap...they all sound the same to me.
And yes, most importantly, so called punk today is a disgusting mess. I don't even like calling it punk because it's nothing close to that.
I'm with you!

Joan Jett was hot. Your friends are just being goofy. Also, you are getting old. Every generation has gone through this. My parents used to say the music I listened to was crap. Aerosmith, Beatles, Queen, Eagles, every other group who are now considered "classic" rock. Of course, we know now that they were full of crap. None the less, they still made the claim. I believe all music is good to someone. Don't knock someone else's style, they are just expressing theirselves. Thanks and good luck...... by the way, Joan Jett switched teams.

i think music is a generation thing. i believe whatever you grew up with you liked, but your parents probably hated it, and said the same thing about the music you listened to. they probably said it was horrible, lack of talent, etc.. now you feel that way about the music kids listen to today.

I know Joannie...I used to sing and play bass with her old drummer, Sandy West (R.I.P.) from the Runaways. Joan is one of the hardest working women in the industry.
