People sell it for double, triple the price because they know that people will buy it. If nobody buys it, then they wouldn't be selling it for that high. All comes down to supply and demand. Right now, the demand is high and the supply is low, so people will buy high.

People pay that high of a price because some people have money and they don't have the patience to wait it out so why not buy it for double, triple the price when they can afford it. Some people want to play the Wii games right away, so if they have the money, they'll pay extra for it.

The Wii price isn't that bad compared to the PS3. People were paying on average 4 times the value of the 60 gb, and yet, if they had waited a little over 40 days, they could have gone to the store and buy it off the shelf for 600 bucks. Those people got hosed, but hey, it's their own stupidity so they deserve it.

What the hell? $800? Wii: $250 6 video games: ~$three hundred Controller: $60 Wii got here with Wii activities and a controller too (wasnt confident in case you protected WiiSports with the 6games you've been speaking about). maximum Wii video games are $50 max and Nunchakus+Wiimotes are a minimum of $60. Are you speaking about US funds or what?

you need to define "worth"

obviously it is "worth" it for those saps to buy it for double the price - it is simple supply and demand. They don't think they can sell the Wii for that much - they are! And they are smart business people for it!

The same arguement can go for any professional sport. Why does someone who can run fast and catch a football get paid millions of dollars? - supply and demand!

People are making tons of money due to the shortage of Nintendo Wii's and Playstation 3's. People will do anything to get there hands on one, and people know this. You should of seen Ebay when they first came out, people were buying them for like $1000 to $3000. Most people are impatient as well, they want to get there hands on one right now.

The direct result of supply and demand. High demand with no supply allows people to redefine the market.

You'd be surprised how many people actually pay the extra 300 dollars just to have it three weeks earlier than they would if they waited and paid the normal price. Sad, really.

Well some people with birthdays earlier than the new ship date are going to be wanting it earlier. So their parents, friends, spouse, or themselves will buy it off ebay just to get it weeks earlier. The next sshipment is febuary now, so when my birthday came around january 11th I didnt want to have to wait so my parents bought one off of ebay for 100 bucks more, and I made up that money so its no big deal. If you want to wait for it then go ahead, its no different.

I guess they think they can double the price because they are trying to find someone who is stuiped enough to buy it. They did the same thing with the PS3.
