"The Pistons are one of the top teams in the NBA"??? NO. They are not even a 2nd place team in an Eastern Conference division. Their record is a water-treading 21-16.....Championship for now is out of the equation. See Suns, Mavericks, Spurs, Lakers, etc.

No, they probably couldn't even make it into the Finals. Even though the East is still relatively weak, the Pistons would go down in a series against the Cavs or the Wizards. Then if they do get into the Finals teams in the West are just too strong. Match them up with a team like Dallas or Phoenix (or even the Lakers, Spurs, Jazz, and Rockets) and it is unlikely they will be able to win enough games in a playoff series against these teams. The Pistons made a mistake letting Ben Wallace going, they were a strong team - making it to the Finals as well as winning multiple times but now they are a team on their decline from the greatness they had been experiencing.

TOP team you say? They only have the number 5 seed in their conference and compared to the west, they're totally nowhere.
I don't think they can win... I'm not even sure they'll make it to the playoffs. So many better teams this year. Look forward to see New Jersey and Miami perform for the rest of the season.
Detroit is not the team they were back then against the Lakers, get used to it

They started slow, pick up where they Left off last, and now they're back to being slow. This is an inconsistent team right now, but by April, max., they'll, be the best team in the East. Once Webber, eventually, gets the starting job, yes, without a doubt. You can't say they're veteran team, they have a veteran starting lineup, I agree, but look at they're bench, Murray, Delfino, Maxiell, they have Blalock and Amir Johnson in the D-League. I don't think they're serious contenders for the title, now, but eventually, yes.

Good Lord No! The Pistions aren't even a top team anymore. Ever since Big Ben left, the team has died.
Pheonix or Dallas is the top gunners this year.

No...they obviously dont have the tools right now to even compete in the sloppy east.
They couldnt beat Cleveland or Was in a series. They couldnt beat the heat when Shaq comes back.
And Chris Webber is more of a nuesance than he is a helpful player.
