Modelling scams are pretty common. They play on the vanity of their victems. It is also pretty easy to convince the victems that hefty fees are needed since modelling is such a glamorous profession. Carefully investigate any company you work with in this field. Ask for references and check them. Do not accept anything you cannot verify.

No, but if you're unsure about them, it takes only a minute to check them out on the Better Business Bureau website. Many BBB accredited businesses also have the BBB logo on their webpage, but don't let that be enough for you. Go the extra mile and check them out on the site. It was probably a scam. You should never give out any information like that. If you won a hotel voucher, there is no reason for them to have any of your personal information like that. Tell them to mail it to you and that you will not pay to insure it. If it's legit, then they will do that. If not, who cares. You should contact your bank and put a fraud alert on all of your accounts so you have some extra protection.
