My sister shredded all of my mothers paperwork after she died,and has kept everything that was left for us to split 50-50

If you know where your mother had her will made up they usually keep a copy. Plus, if there is no will then the estate is shared by all of the immediate family. Get a lawyer.

Well usually people contact a lawyer to make a will. If you know who your mom's lawyer was, contact him. Your sister shouldn't have did what she did. She is being very greedy and I'm sure your mom wouldn't approve. Good Luck

You may want to find out if she had any legal assistance when drawing up the will. If so, try there.

check with a lawyer, family friend or anone she was close to. someone may have witnessed the will. then u know how to look or if to look.

go to the courthose of the county she lived in,go to probate court/magistratecourt,and get a copy of the probated will.
