I have a ceiling fan at the top of my stairs on the upper level of my house. I am unsure for winter time whether the warm air should be drawn up by the fan or pushed down. I know in the summer the process is switched. Appreciate assistance

Blow down in summer and up in winter.
Blowing down in winter will only cause a draft.
