All Canadian Teams have all their games on TV. At worst about 10 are Pay Per View, then the rest of the games vary between local and national coverage.
If the game isn't covered locally, it might be broadcast for the away team market. (Again, see it all the time for Canadian teams playing in the US - no local coverage but we get the game in Canada.)
Cameras are used in: video goal review, club boxes, and on scoreboard big screen. It makes sense to still have the cameras rolling when you have 20,000 paying customers that you can slightly improve the entertainment value for.

Yes all games are taped. That way the NHL can review the tape as is so common after a game to judge the way the ref has performed, to review goals, to see if suspensions are warranted. I wonder where the tape went when Ovechkin hit a guy from Buffalo from behind into the door opening. Or the tapes of Alfredsson hitting guys from behind, hitting guys in the face and being an all around chicken sh*t. I guess when an elite player does something that should warrant a suspension the tape gets mysteriously lost. I don't know of the other teams but the Leafs have all of their games on tv. Most are on no charge tv but some are on Leafs TV which is a pay station. The Leaf games on Leafs TV are also shown at movie theaters here as well.

Some games have local "blackouts" but all games are filmed if I am not mistaken. Most are shown for at least ONE sides home. Yeah I remember the time the Penguins had a problem at Mellon Arena. Appearently a transformer blew. So they lost power. Then it went back out for like a half-hour after they thought it was running again. So they were playing Toronto I believe. The away broadcasters left according to Lang and he said that they were left as the only broadcast of the game. That the away team was using their broadcast.

Seems like most NHL arenas use a 'jumbotron' video scoreboard. So there is probably at least some 'in-house' video of each game. Plus games are probably captured on video the coaching staffs.

All games are taped, even if they'll never be put on TV. For one thing, if something bad happens, the league needs video to review. (Also, if a goal needs to be reviewed during the game, they have to have video).
Plus the sports networks need highlights of every game.

of course. the team always has someone there to tape a game for game film to watch. just because the game isnt televised doesnt mean it isnt being taped by the network for promos, or updates throught outher games. so to answer your question yes.

All Games are taped regardless of weather they are aired or not.
Most teams have all their games televised, except in small markets such as Phoenix.
