I agree I think no matter what color you are there is some amount of racism in everyone. It's human nature to be curious, or have ideas negative or positive, on things that are different from yourself. Am trying to explain it in the most politically correct way possible hope it makes some sense do not want to offend anyone good question I totally get what you are saying

No I believe you are making an error here. We are all prejudiced and intolerant of others at times. I do not like to be classified as white, am I a sheet of paper? NO! I am fair skinned not white.
My wife has a permanent sun-tan lucky her and does not burn or peel like I do.
Get over it people not everyone is the same. Maturity is how the man/woman deals with their dislikes of others attitudes or actions.
One of our great english(british if you will) forebears said.
"No man is an island, every mans death diminishes me"
That and the fact that "Every human on the planet is a blood relative of everyone else" are the two facts that we should all try and bear in mind whenever we have cause to be at odds with another individual.
For over two thousand years this country and its language have been developed and enhanced by the influx and eventual integration of other people from around the world. It has made us proud and strong and free.
A Man with whom you can trade insults of any kind is your friend, Often others regard this as wrong, because they are unaware of the history between you and your 'ethnic' friend with whom you trade insults in public.
I understand the girls do it a little differently 'gossip' but it amounts to the same thing.
People 'Friends romans citizens - lend me your ears', brothers sisters lets be nice: treat each other as equals.

Hi,
Perhaps you have a good point, and I hear & see such almost every day, but having travelled round a fair bit, and lived and worked in India, The Mid-East, Africa, I am sure that I have not one drop of racist blood in my system.
I seem to get on with folks of all creeds & coulors of skin.
OK, I am a white Brit, but have not received any discrimination against that.
So I surmise that racism is not in everyone, and indeed often the opposite. I am "anti-racist" if anything.
All the best to all.
Bob.

I don't think the terms "Right" and "Wrong" apply here. Everybody has their own likes and dislikes. The trouble is that the government seems to be trying to control our thoughts.
I for one don't like a number of things but that's my right as a member of what once was a free country.
If the "anti-racist" mob get their way, it will be illegal not to marry somebody from a different race :-).
People of all races are fine - in their own country! If they mix, then the cultures gradually disappear and are replaced with a PC bland mix which is worthless (see England). In some cases, they refuse to mix and the result becomes riots, insurrection and slaughter (see Iraq).
All I ask is that I have the right to live surrounded by like people who share my traditions, beliefs and lifestyles. Is that unreasonable? I believe that most people share similar views, to a greater or lesser extent and this is known as self-preservation of the race.

Racism is a stupid word. It implies that humans are of different species and not a single race.
Bigotry is a more apt term for it because it can involve politics (witness the avocation of imprisonment and murder by some of the extreme rigth wing media in the US) or religion (there have been more holy wars than I have had hot meals in my life).
Everyone is a bigot about at least one group somewhere. Except me, of course; I hate everybody equally.

I believe that it's human nature to make generalizations about people, places, and things, based on our experiences (or lack of experiences) with them. If a person gets bit by a spider, more than likely, they'll become wary of all spiders - not just the exact one that bit them. It's not just human nature either, but animal nature in general. I've dealt with alot of dogs growing up, and it's not uncommon for dogs to be 'racist' or 'sexist', either from not having any significant exposure to people of a different color than their owners, or from a bad experience (such as being treated badly) by someone of a particular race or gender.
The difference between humans and animals, however, is we have the ability to involve rational thought into the process. We should be able to realize how our minds work, how the seeds of prejudice can be sown, and how, rationaly speaking, prejudice just doesn't make sense. To my way of thinking, racism is simply allowing your basal drives to control your thinking and actions, without ever bothering to put any thought into the matter. It's ignorance, and intellectual laziness.
That being said, however... the generalizations upon which racism is formed are often accurate (as accurate as a generalization can be). For example - generalizing blacks as criminals. Sadly, statistics show that far more young blacks are likely to wind up in jail than whites. Racist statement? No - statement of fact. Racism lies in how you interpret the facts. Do you assume that because alot of blacks are in prison, that all blacks are inherently bad? Or do you add in class, economic factors, living conditions, and prejudice within the legal system into the equation? Do you choose to be a lazy thinker, and write off all blacks as losers, or do you use your mind?l
I have a hard time believing any one color of person is very much different from the next. I feel we all share the same basic desires, fears, joys, and needs. I feel we all suffer from the same basic shortcomings. And I feel all of us human animals are prone to racist and sexist thought - it's up to us to elevate our thinking beyond it.

I dont have even the slightest thread of racism in me, people are all the same. We may be different colours, different sexuallitys, different religions, have different opinions and enjoy different things.
And this is what makes people so unique and diverse, the human race is one of the most interesting things on this planet, its just a pity were going to destroy it with our own greed and selfishness....

You should watch Crash. It shows how we all are affected by negative stereotypes of other races as well as our own race, even if we really try not to be.
