I'm on the birth control pill and my period ended started about 2 weeks ago. Today I noticed I can smell a smelly towel about 10 feet away. It doesn't bother me...it's just weird that I smell it. Is this a heightened sense of smell? I also had very brief breast tenderness. However I have experienced breast tenderness before and I assumed it was because of the pill.

Could these be signs of ovulation or am I being super paranoid?

You do not ovulate on the pill. That is how the pill keeps you from getting pregnant it halts ovulation. As long as you are taking your pills everyday like the instructions say you are fine.

While you CAN ovulate on the pill it is exceptionally unlikely. The pill works by tricking the body into thinking its pregnant, and so doesn't release ovum (ovulate).

What you're experiencing may be an odd side effect of the pill. Like I said, it makes the body THINK it's pregnant, so for a few months you may have some early pregnancy similarities.
