Smart choice on the black blazer and trousers, were a nice white top, red not very appropriate for the funeral.
Sorry for your loss.

I'm not sure why you feel the need to match each other unless there is some sentimental reason for wearing black and red. It doesn't sound disrespectful, unless you know your grandmother is going to hate it. Chances are, no one cares what you wear...you're in mourning. However, if your family is as hypercritical as mine (and they probably are), just choose a conservative, "interview at Price Waterhouse", suit or dress. Dark colors (black/navy) are traditional, but tan/brown/olive shades are fine too. If you're wearing a skirt/dress and the temperature is below 60, or you are south of the Mason-Dixon line, for goodness sake wear pantyhose. Keep the jewelry, hair and makeup (waterproof) to a minimum. Carry tissues and mints...trust me you will need both.

No it is not disrespectful at all. Black is respectful being that it is a death and red is the color of love. I would wear that to a loved ones funeral. Don't worry about how you look or how people would think of your looks. This is a death and as long as you are there to give your respects to your grandfather nothing else matters.

Sorry for your loss....

think about wear the funeral will be held and what the weather will be like. If this imposes a problem wear a skinny strapped black dress (or navy blue) and take a cute sweater. if it is too hot, take the sweater off. if it is too cold put the sweater on. Also think about what shoes you want to wear. Sorry about the loss. P.S. im sure your granpa wouldnt mind what your wearing.

Just because you're going to a funeral doesn't mean you need to wear all black. You can wear gray, or darker colors. I wouldn't wear something red because that's way too bright, you go with darker colors like maroon black or gray. I'm sorry to hear about your grandad.

generally red is not a color you see at funerals, however, you knew your grand dad best so you decide. Wear something that is conservative, but reminds you of him, perhaps something that he expressed a liking for.
I am sorry for your loss, the funeral will promote healing and should make you feel better.

The pants and the jacket are nice but i would go with a gray colored top or any other subdued color because red is going to make you stick out like a sore thumb,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, unless that is the look you are going for.
