Let's see, doomsday clock, global warming, gas shortages. A draft.
The fact is, after you survive a few of their scares, you realize what a losing proposition worrying is. Don't worry, be happy. If its your calling, then serve your country. But don't sit there worrying about BS.

Since Democrats are always called dummies...I guess they are following the Republicans.....after all

Monkey see Monkey do......

I wonder if the promise Bush senior made to the American people could rub off of Democrats and actually work.....No More Taxes...

The same techniques you listed above is the same old tricks that
Republicans have been using for years. I don't recall $3.50+ gas prices when Clinton was in office.....Doomsday Clock has been around for years. It wasnt just thought of and made. President Bush is pushing about Global Warming. If he has his way, there probably will be a draft. After all we are fighting half of the world. Everything you have listed looks like it falls on the Republicans....not the Dems. Democracy has 2 faces, when it should only have one..the face of American People!

"If you dont learn from history, you are doomed to repeat it"...can you tell me who said that?

Democrats dont need to resort to the scare tactics that Republicans have been using for years...they have the facts on their side.

Being "happy" will not make oil shortages or environmental concerns go away. The evidence is all around us, we are screwing up the planet. Im only 27 but I remember REAL cold weather, the current climate is unnatural and everyone knows it! Geologically, we should be on the brink of another ice age, instead everything is warming up with increasing speed.

The best way to serve your country by making informed, intelligent decisions and not propagating ignorance and factionalism! Shame on you!!!

Same reason the Republicans are - fear is a great motivator. All demagogues try to instill fear in their audience because it can be used to justify all sorts of draconian or otherwise illogical policies. It is the rare leader (MLK, Gandhi, Kennedy) who sells their message on a platform of hope. Usually they wind up getting killed by the fear-mongers.

Because unlike Republicans
Democrats think logically and truthfully instead of sugar coating things we gave it to you straight with no chaser. I mean come one the only thing different is, is that we Democrats say what Republicans want to say but cant because of the way they will be viewed by there peers.
Grow up and use that freedom of speech that we Americans are blessed with

Who created the terror alert, National Security risks, Iraq war, blah blah blah that the democrats spawn these ideas off of?

Go to the source. The plant does not survive without roots.

I know exactly what you mean. Seems these days it is expected that the dems will have a 180 reverse position of the Rep and vice versa. Guess there is nothing that can be agreed upon.

Because that's the only way they can get them to vote donkey. They don't have the facts on their side, they don't have tradition or reason, so all they can do is pound on the table.

It's like Will Rogers said, "The Democratic Party is like a mule, with neither pride of ancestry nor hope of progeny."

I agree, it's a bully tactic meant to terrorise people. People need to ask them what their exact plans are to counteract this BS with facts, dates , costs etc. If they don't have an answer and they won't then they need to stop it pronto!

Yea, they should adopt a nonexistent boogey man like Osama Bin Forgotten to scare people with.

If they are not scared already (alerts, terrorist attacks) then how could any of that scare them? Thank you for your fatherly wisdom.
